CONSTRUCTION, PLEDGES, RENEWAL, INSTRUCTORS!

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

The new Storage Hangar and Charging Shelter are up and looking good!  We have a couple months to go before we can use them.  The charging shelter pavers and gravel floor will be done next week.  Then, we'll build the ADA path to the Training Hangar.  Finally, likely on a weekday, we’ll switch electrical to the new Charging Shelter and start using it!

We will be furnishing the Hangar to make it a productive space and storage facility.  If you have work benches, old cabinets, shelving units, BatSafe, old laptops or tower computers and displays (we need two for training simulators), old copies of RealFlight, or anything you think would be useful, please contact us by clicking HERE.  There will be no power tools.  The intent of the hangar is to store and repair our training fleet and miscellaneous items used by the club.  We will be a bit picky about what we accept as we want this to be a first class operation.

PLEDGES?

The Pledges were requested almost two years ago.  Since then, the funding picture has changed dramatically.  The Board has decided that at the end of the construction project we retain one year of operating funds plus $5K extra.  If we fall short of that goal, we will explain the current situation to the membership, and ask for donations to bring us to the desired balance.

NEW RENEWAL PROCESS COMING SOON

-- UPDATE YOUR MEMBERSHIP.    NOW, PLEASE!

A new membership renewal process comes when we change to our new web site this summer.  It is helpful to our membership coordinator to get  all the 2024 renewals done before the change.  There is good weather in April and May, and you want to fly right? Please renew your 2024 membership now.

PLEASE BE AN INSTRUCTOR -- WE MAKE IT EASY!

Remember the people that taught you to fly?  They were having a fun, rewarding time.  It’s your turn to be like them, right?

Our new plan is FLEXIBLE!  You can sign up for some of the Tuesday evening sessions (starting May 7) or you can take on a student and meet with them any time you can arrange.  We can teach you how to be a good instructor.  It is not difficult, and does not need to cost you a lot of time.  You were coming to the field anyway, right?  Did I mention that it’s Fun and Rewarding?

Happy Landings,

BK1 and your Board of Directors
