Marymoor R/C Update (Distancing, Events, Loading/Unloading)

We hope everyone has had a fun and safe experience getting back into flying again! We know that it is a great feeling to be back at the field and have our hobby brought back into our lives and want to thank our members for following our distancing guidelines. For those who want to review them or aren’t yet familiar, please click here. They are also posted on most every table at the field as well.

King County Parks did advise us that in the unlikely event we have repeated issues with distancing, we would have to revert to an online sign-in sheet and limit the amount of people at the field. We want to do our best to avoid going backwards from where we are now so please continue do your part in maintaining 6 feet from all other flyers/pilots.

The board met recently to discuss our events (training, fly-ins, etc), and going off of our Governor’s opening plan, we won’t be able to host anything until we get to Phase 3As such, we have decided for everyone’s safety and health that we will be cancelling all training and events this summer including club meetings. We appreciate everyone’s understanding.

One final note - we would like to let everyone know that as of today, loading and unloading must be done from the parking lot only, and not from the spectator area. Driving into the spectator area to load/unload will no longer be permitted per request of King County Parks in an effort to keep the grass presentable in our spectator area. We appreciate everyone's understanding and thanks for your cooperation.

We hope everyone is keeping healthy and getting in flying when you’re able to - our hobby is a great escape from the stresses of the pandemic we’re living through and we’re happy to have our amazing facility open again just in time for Summer.

Happy Landings!
