April MARC Foam Airplane Kit Build

As you probably know by now, we built a profile F-15 foam airplane at the April 2017 club meeting.

It is a foam profile model with a mid-mounted motor and propeller. It has no landing gear but can take off by sliding along the ground. The model is a 90% version of the one described in the RC Groups discussion thread below. Kits are cut with the permission of the original designer Jim Wagoner (jtechlaser.com). Jim asks that you post photos of your models in the discussion thread below.

To complete your model, you will need a motor, a speed control, two servos, a battery, and a propeller. Here are options from two vendors.

Before your first flight, double check that your servos, servo horns, pushrods, clevis, clevis keepers, and control horns are secure.

The club kit used Supercub pushrods; if these are too flexible, you may wish to add some foam stand off / holders / stabilizers along the length of the pushrod.
